Social media firstly entered the market to over take the media agencies in order to advertise the products,but today it has become the new mode of communication to the mass.First entered the Face book in 2004, continuing with twitter in the next year followed by the YouTube and various other social media communications which have become a strong tool for marketing the brand name of the companies. 

Social media gained users in billions across the world in less than a year of its entry. Virgin media is the media company which is now taking this social media not just for increasing the brand name for their business but also for their internal business communication.Organisations till now used various mode of communication to communicate within the organisation. Virgin media is using twitter as the mode of internal communication within the organisation and is further going on experimenting with other social media like pod casting etc. This shows the innovation in the usage of social media by the organisations, and the entrance of social media in the new field of communication.
